William P. Hobby Airport: Wanderlust Silhouettes
One of my favorite things to do when I travel is photographing airports. Airplanes have always fascinated me ever since I was a child - so much so, that one of my goals is to someday get my pilot's license. In the meantime, I will focus on taking pictures of anything that flies and the structures that facilitate travel on said wonders of mankind.
I'm on a mission to find the best airport in the country. To me the "best" airport is one that makes travel as enjoyable as possible, both for short and long lay overs. For me, Houston Hobby is probably in the top 10 airports in the country. It is spacious, has plenty of good restaurants, stores, and plenty of places to recharge your electronics. From a logistical standpoint of view, I rarely have to walk too far to make connecting flights; a testament to great airport management.
From an aesthetic point of view, Houston Hobby is clean and spacious - and hosts some nice artwork; my favorite of which are the huge stained glass windows between the main terminals.
Here are some silhouette photographs of wander lusters as they rushed to their gates.
